Aptitude tests in high school reported I was best suited to be a farmer.

Expelled my senior year from Gonzaga High School, I still got into college without a high school diploma or SAT scores. I made Dean's List & graduated with a BA in American History, then became a musician & songwriter, which I pursued as a living for a long time.

Since then, I have been running my own design business - now in its 10th year - and teaching design and programming in college for the last 6 years.

Otherwise I've been studying American heritage while living a popCulture hermitage. Since 1992:

No TV, no sports, no celebrities, no radio, no car, no cell, no logos, no blackberry, no video games, no blogs, no credit cards, no debt....nothing....

I do a lot of sample-based audio compositions using obscure elements such as found sound, abandoned record albums, surreptitious guerilla field recordings made on my marantz handHeld and public domain multimedia....

...then I write new arrangements and musical parts on the bass, cello, guitar, keys, vox and computer.

I've also had a lot of bands and recording projects over the years, written a lot of songs in a variety of styles: rock & roll, power pop, exotica & lounge, old (pre-1970s) country...it really depends on what's on the turntable.

Highly original, quality sounds - give 'em a listen.
